Question: I'm a frequent Atlantic City slot player who has never won more than $150 from a single game.I was going to ask if you could suggest what I might be doing wrong as it seems that everyone and his second cousin has at least one big hand pay story. The $1200 limit is for 'winnings' (actually a single win pay out, hence the 'hand pay' necessity), not cash outs over that amount. And this applies only to 'machines', table games and sports books are a whole. The setup for the slots is a five-reel game with three rows. There are 30 paylines available, and the player has to play all 30 for each game. There is also an additional 15 credit bet to pay for the included. Still more would insist that no tip at all is necessary for 'handpays' under $1200. The machines are capable of being set to pay out automatically on 'jackpots' of $1199 and lower. Even on progressives.

So you preferred to take the shitty hand pay jackpot to pay taxes opposed to just take $1000, when could easily make up for the $200-300. I don't even know why people gamble in the states, what a horrid hassle to pay taxes on every hand pay, especially if you're an avid gambler that plays high stakes. A hand pay should be $5,000+ not 1200.
